Dear Dallas 1 Business Partner,

I want to thank you for doing business with Dallas 1 Construction and Development. We are blessed beyond measure to have tremendous customers, vendors and subcontractors to serve. I’ve heard from some of you regarding your COVID-19 updates and/or procedures and I appreciate your openness and diligence in protecting those around you. I share the same concerns as many of you. I’ve heard some concerns from many of our customers and I share them as well. To that end, I’ve created a Q&A format to address the concerns I’ve had shared with me below:

Q: What are your vendors and subcontractors doing to ensure the safety of those around them?

A: Dallas 1 is treating this situation with great concern. We have a wellness coordinator who will be monitoring the government mandates, any potential shutdowns, and closures and making sure there is constant communication with our team members regarding minimizing the spread of COVID-19.

Q: Will the job stay on schedule?

A: I wish I had a definite answer to this question. Dallas 1 will make every effort to keep production running as normal and to keep the projects on schedule. The obstacle will be keeping our team members healthy and free of COVID-19. As directed by the CDC and outlined below, there is a risk of a reduction in crews if there is an instance of COVID-19 with a team member. Prayerfully, all teams will be free of this virus and will be able to continue production as scheduled. We understand there may be a shortage of subcontractors and/or materials, but we will exhaust all available options to keep the project on track.

Q: How are you doing all you can to make sure your team members and those they have contacted are best protected from COVID-19?

A: Our plan of action in addressing this issue includes, but is not limited to, the following measures:

Q: What happens if a team member is diagnosed with COVID-19?

A: If a team member is diagnosed with COVID-19 our wellness coordinator will immediately notify anyone who may have had contact with that individual in the days leading up to the diagnosis. This includes supervisors, other team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. She will also work to isolate the team member’s entire crew for a minimum of 14 days or as mandated by any government authorities. All equipment used by the team member and/or crew will be sanitized thoroughly according to government standards.

Q: What are your vendors and subcontractors doing to ensure the safety of those around them?

A: We are in contact with our vendors and subcontractors about the protective measures they are taking regarding keeping our team members and clients best protected from COVID-19. We are asking that their measures align with ours and if they do not, we will require they do or seek other options.

In closing, we are praying that this virus leaves as swiftly as it came. Dallas 1 is committed to protecting our team members and those they work with the best we can. We have been blessed beyond measure by our business associates. We will do all we can to protect our team members and those they are around and still provide high-quality work.
